1/6th Plate Tintype of Two Federal Soldier with Rarely seen Starr Revolver.
This image case has behind the tintype an inscription noting Charles O. Patterson. Speculation could point to Missouri with there being a Sgt Charles Patterson. Some Missouri troops were issued star revolvers as well which could lead to why his pard is holding one. There is also “Parsons” engraved into the tin. This is all speculation and will make a great research project for a spectacular Civil War image.
