1/9th Tintype of Dr. David C. Dome, 17th Indiana Infantry Co. C. This image was taken likely right at David’s enlistment. The image is accompanied with a period pencil inscription behind the image. At the Battle of Pittsburg Landing he suffered an accident causing severe ear damage on 4-15-1862. He would go on to be a hospital steward and an assistant Surgeon on 2/20/1865 before returning home to Indiana living to be the ripe age of 96!
