Cabinet Card of GAR Veteran James Austin 14th Iowa Infantry Company D. This cabinet card photo is of James Austin a member of the 14th Iowa Infantry. This amazing image is signed by Austin and until now was never verified which Austin it was. The only James Austin living in Geneva, Ohio was a James Austin from Canada. James arrived in Iowa the late 1850s- early 60s where he enlisted with the 14th Iowa Infantry. Following the war he moved to PA then back to Ohio living in Geneva in the 1880s before moving back to PA where he would pass away in 1927!
