This grouping includes a six plate the gear type of Captain Low, stereo view card of the prison in Nova Scotia he was taken too, stereo view card of building erected by Captain Lowe in 1864 Gloucester, MA, a letter from his son regarding his visit to the prison in 1844. A letter addressed to Captain Lowe from James Causten October 31, 1846- Washington. As well as other historical documents and copies of information pertaining to Captain Lowe’s capture in American Privateers. Captain Low was captured and taken prisoner by the HMS Newcastle (British) on July 9, 1814 he was sent to the prison at Halifax Harbor Nova Scotia before being discharged September 27, 1814.
