CDV of a Federal Soldier with M. Witt Photographer Backmark “Died July 3, 1863”. 
This amazing CDV photo was taken in London, Ohio. A couple regiments came out of Madison County, Ohio including the 55th Ohio Infantry which served in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Unfortunately there is no ID to the image and this is pure speculation that this gentleman could be a Gettysburg KIA. None the less this is an amazing Civil War CDV with a tax stamp!
