CDV of Southern Belle Frances Lucy Rowe (King) Richmond, VA. This photo was taken by the Lee Gallery in Richomond, Virginia. Frances was born in to the Antebellum South the daughter of George and Lucy Rowe. Her Father was a Businessman and Baptist minister of Salem Church, in Spotsylvania and of the African Baptist Church (later known as Shiloh Old Site). He himself ownd 19 slaves in 1850 and only 7 by the year 1860. Fances would meet her husband William T. King in the mid 1850s and get married having one child in 1856 they would live in Richmond till the very end of both their lives Fances Passed away in 1873 and was buried in Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond. Her husband would pass away 11 years later and they would be reunited in their tomb at Hollywood Cemetery.
